جامعة تونكو عبد الرحمن UTAR أو ما يدعى بجامعة أوتار هي جامعة خاصة في مالزيا، تقدم 116 برنامج دراسي في تخصصات عديدة مثل الهندسة و البناء , علم التخمين , الزراعة , ادارة الاعمال و الاقنصاد , القنون , الصناعات الأبداعية و التصميم , الطب و علم الصحة , المحاسبة , المعلوماتية و التواصل , علم الرياضيات و ادارة الاعمال و علم الاجتماع و التعليم في كلياتها التسعة المختلفة.
يوجد في الجامعة ما يقارب 45000 طالب , و جميع طلابها يزاولون عملهم ضمن تخصصهم بعد مدة ست اشهر من التخرج. تم ترقية الجامعة من قبل منظمة كيو اس العالمية كتصنيف الجامعة من احدة افضل 300 جامعة في اسيا لسنة 2012-2013

تمتلك جامعة تونكو عبدالرحمن بماليزيا فرعين:
الفرع الأول: يقع في Kampar
الفرع الثاني: يقع في Sungai Long
متطلبات القبول لجامعة تونكو عبدالرحمن بماليزيا
لابد فى البداية الأخذ فى الإعتبار متطلبات اللغة الإنجليزية للطلاب اللذين يرغبون بالإلتحاق بجامعة تونكو عبدالرحمن، وهى تكون كالتالي:
إجراء اختبار للغة الإنجليزية (TOFEL) أو (IELTS)، وتكون بحد أدنى:
Paper based 550
تنقسم متطلبات القبول ضمن جامعة تونكو عبد الرحمن في ماليزيا الي 3 أقسام:
1- إذا كنت مُتقدم لدرجة البكالوريوس:
لابد من حصولك على الثانوية العامة بمعدل 2.5 من 4 فيما يعادل 60% كحد أدنى.
2- وإذا كنت متُقدم لدرجة الماجيستر:
لابد من حصولك علي درجة البكالوريوس فى مجال دراسي ذات صلة بالمجال المُقدم إليه بمعدل 2.75 من 4 فيما يعادل 67% كحد أدني.
“ويمكن أخذ أقل من تلك النسبة إذا كان لديك خبرة عمل سابقة.”
3- أما في حالة تقدمك لدرجة ال PHD أو الدكتوراه:
لابد من حصولك علي درجة ماجيستير فى مجال دراسى ذات صلة بالمجال المُقدم إليه بمعدل 3 من 4 فيما يعادل 70% كحد أدنى .
